MAXIMISING SITE POTENTIAL

The ‘Skinny House’ project has been granted planning permission, to create a single house development on a brownfield corner plot in the heart of Southampton, in walking distance from the railway station and town centre. Currently the plot is underused, with a garage on it and an overgrown patch of scrub land. The design concept seeks to develop this overlooked land to provide a high quality two storey semi-detached, three-bedroom house, in the heart of Southampton.

The scheme has placed great importance on the quality of living of potential residents and the privacy and amenity of existing neighbouring residents. The design of the new house has been carefully positioned on the site to minimize disruption to adjacent buildings and development’s, with the schemes primary aspect facing south.

Improved landscaping and planting between the proposed new house and existing developments will also aide visual screening and improve the surroundings for all.
